Springfield Camera Club
2.MEETINGS
Every Wednesday evening from 7.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. at Springfield Parish Centre.
3. OBJECTIVE
To further the enjoyment of photography through social, instructional and other activities.
4. POWERS
The club is non-profit making. The club funds all its activities through the collection of annual membership fees and monies payable by each member attending the weekly meetings. These rates are to be fixed annually at the AGM.
The club owns and maintains equipment to further its stated objective. Major items of expense (greater than £150) are approved by the committee. Disposal of obsolete equipment is approved in the same way.
5. MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to all on application to the secretary, and payment of the current annual membership fee to the treasurer. Membership is renewable each year commencing in September. Members joining the club during the membership year will pay a proportion of the annual fee, subject to agreement with the treasurer.
Selected events may be open to guests at the discretion of the committee.
6. COMMITTEE
At the Annual General Meeting there shall be elected the officers comprising: Chairman, Secretary/Programme Sec, Treasurer, Two Competition Secretaries. These officers shall be members of the Committee, which will consist of a minimum of 5 members to serve for 3 years. An additional 2 Committee Members being elected from those present at the AGM.
At their discretion, the committee can appoint an experienced member of the club as ex official President of the club, to provide guidance and expertise to the committee. The President will be invited to attend committee meetings, when required. There is no obligation to appoint a President.
A quorum at Committee Meetings shall be a minimum of 5 Committee Members.
Voting will be by simple majority of the members present at Committee Meetings with no vote for Chairman except when a casting vote is required.
The Committee may co-opt any additional members required to assist with the activities of the club.
Any vacancy on the Committee may also be filled by co-option, any person so co-opted will serve until the next AGM.
7. PAYMENTS AND BENEFITS
The Club does not provide payment to any members serving on the committee, or providing the club with any other service. Appropriate reasonable expenses (e.g. postage, telephone), will be reimbursed by the club.
Small payments can be made to photographers who are not members of the club and who provide services to the club.
8. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Will be held at the Springfield Parish Centre on the 3rd Wednesday in September each year.
9. AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
Will be considered at the AGM.
10.ACCOUNTS
Shall be subject to audit by two members of the Committee. A balance sheet will be presented to members at the AGM.
11.EXTRA-ORDINARY GENERAL MEETING
May be called by the Committee or by request of 25% of the membership.
12.DISSOLUTION
In the event of dissolution of the club, any assets, after satisfaction of any outstanding debts, shall be shared or sold and divided equally between club members of Springfield Camera Club.
13.Data Protection Policy
The club holds and maintains a separate protection policy in accordance with current GDPR legislation.
A COPY OF THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL BE AVAILABLE TO ALL MEMBERS OF SPRINGFIELD CAMERA CLUB.Version History
