Resizing your Image to 1920 x 1080

Go to the menu at the top of page click on Documents >
A drop down menu will appear, select >
resize document a dialog box will appear
change the pixel size to 1920x 1080 this is the target setting. (this is the resolution for the club screen)
Type in 1920 into the width box,
if your image height is 1080 DPI to 72
set resample to bicubic'
and make sure the resample box as a tick click resize.
Click ok
However if it is higher than 1080, just enter 1080
this the number you are aiming for.
Then click ok
Save in the normal way.
Photoshop
Goto image, image size
Make sure ‘constrained’ portions is ticked.
Make sure ‘resample image & bicubic’ is ticked.
Type in The width, to be no more than 1920px
The number in pixels in the hight box should be no larger than 1080px. If it is 1080 or less,
Click ok
If it is higher then just enter in the hight box 1080 and then click ok
Set the resolution to 72DPI
Now save your resized image
Lightroom
Goto File … scroll down to Export, then select Export As it should bring up this box
On the right of your picture Format … jpg
Quality … might as well have a 7
Image size … Width … type in 1920
if the number in the height box is less that 1080, awesome
if not … Height … type in 1080
you should find that the other number adjusts automatically.
Scale … 100%
Resample … Bicubic Automatic
Canvas size … Ok, should you wish to put a boundary on your image
Make a note of the sizes in the next two boxes and add two for
every pixel width you want around your image (So if you want a five pixel line around your image,
add ten to the Width & Height. As soon as you adjust this,
the Reset box should light up for if you wish to start over)
Metadata … this is the exif data for your image
Copyright … adds a digital signature
Now hit Export
another box comes up
Save As … rename your image here e.g. Bill Shakespeare_Much Ado About Nothing.jpeg
Where … where you want to send them … I put Desktop
now hit Save

Goto image, resize, image size
