Essex

Hi,

long time no see.

Well, we're back, the summer is over ... what, you missed it, t'was last Monday.

The rioting has died down, the birds are singing ... wait, where are the birds?

Ok, last night we had our Counties competition, a rehash of last years competition because da management felt it was rushed and felt we should do better (bit like the teacher saying 'Wrong, do it again')

So, Essex again.

32 entries from Thorpe Bay up to Walton, Maldon across to Thaxted. A few from Chelmsford but none from Springfield, is it that unphotogenic, perhaps we could take a leaf out of Tony's book and have a competition set within the confines of Springfield. We could show the new estates, the new train station, the concreting over of our fair land, the bypass ... bitter, moi?

anyways, enough of my ranting, back to the competition.

Simple rules, voted for by the members in attendance, no voting for your own stuff, we ran through them again and again & again ...

Then Steve & Chris rough housed the members, took their voting slips and snuck away to count the ballots.

In equal second was Nick with this fabulous entry 'Thorpe Bay'

Sharing that same step was Val's 'Tollesbury Lofts'

and top prize went to Nick again with his 'Heddingham Castle by Starlight'

Thanks to all those who entered.

Better luck next year, Ha Ha.

Wander over to our Facebook sight for a look at the other entries

Also, don't forget our Whatsapp pages ... stuff up for grabs, who's doing what ...
